Diana's teaching practice is focused on enabling students to be artistic, well-rounded, and engaged.
Diana has a Bachelors of Education from the University of Alberta. She took on her first piano and voice students in 2016, and instantly fell in love with teaching. Each lesson is informed by her 15+ years of classical training, with level 9 qualification from the Royal Conservatory of Music in piano, level 8 in voice and theory alongside the completion of the RCM Teaching Elementary Piano course in 2020. Diana is an RCM-certified teacher with a specialization in elementary piano. She constantly updates her teaching methods to meet current best practices.
Students will appreciate Diana's holistic approach which is comprehensive while taking into account student interest. Creativity is actively encouraged through regular opportunities to compose and improvise. Effective goal-setting, performance opportunities, and game-based learning keeps students engaged with their lessons and at-home practice.
