This Hofner German made violin from 1966 is a beautiful instrument with a lot of character. The all solid wood body with Flamed maple for the back and sides has a great look. But more than that, the tone that these well aged woods produce is warm and rich.
The violin has been through a lot in its life, and has a number of minor cosmetic scars from many years of use by its previous owners. Despite its age, it’s still in great condition from a playability and tone standpoint, though it does have a few upgraded parts (namely the light alloy tailpiece with all 4 fine tuners) and a few significant repairs that had been done previously.
It includes a hard shell case and a bow so it’s ready to be played, whether that’s on a stage, or in a home studio, you’re sure to love the tone that this vintage instrument can produce.
Though it has been estimated at $2500.00 CAD, we have had it around the shop for some time and feel that it would be best to sell off at a significant discount to help it find a new home.
