Saxophone Lessons

The saxophone is a woodwind instrument commonly featured in jazz and contemporary music. Sound is produced by an oscillating reed, most commonly made of cane. The saxophone comes in many shapes and sizes but once one type is learned, skills are transferable between each horn. The most common saxophone types are the alto saxophone and the tenor saxophone.

Developing a good sound on the saxophone is a combination of many things that your instructor will guide you through. These include embouchure (the position of the lips, tongue, and teeth on the mouthpiece), breathing technique and air support, and exercises to help develop all other aspects of the instrument.
